Manager Facilities

The Manager Facilitiesensures the operational integrity and long-term functionality of CAVA'srestaurant locations within a defined region. This role manages all aspects ofrepair and maintenance, vendor performance, project execution, and emergencyresponse for both new and existing restaurants. Acting as a strategic partnerto Operations and Development, the Facilities Manager proactively overseesday-to-day service requests, long-term planning, and preventative maintenance,while supporting the team in delivering safe, fully functional spaces that meetCAVA's standards. This individual plays a key role in balancing operationalneeds, vendor management, and budget management, to drive restaurantperformance and guest satisfaction experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversees all facilities repair and maintenance activities within the assigned region, ensuring restaurants operate safely and efficiently with minimal service disruption.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between Operations and external vendors to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance requests through the ServiceChannel platform, managing a high volume of daily work orders with urgency and accuracy.
  • Manages the proposal and invoice workflow, reviewing submitted work scopes, validating pricing accuracy, and ensuring work is completed to standard before authorizing payment.
  • Oversees waste and recycling vendor relationships within the region, ensuring timely service and issue resolution for assigned restaurants.
  • Maintains consistent vendor communication to drive accountability, performance, and alignment with timelines, budgets, and service expectations across all levels of repair and capital work.
  • Conducts regular site visits and targeted inspections to assess restaurant conditions, identify risks or deficiencies, and collaborate with Operations to implement solutions that improve functionality and guest experience.
  • Partners closely with the Development team during new restaurant openings, contributing to project reviews, punch walks, and warranty issue resolution to ensure a seamless handoff from construction to operations.
  • Responds to emergency situations, including equipment failures, safety hazards, or facility disruptions, with a calm and decisive approach to minimize operational impact.
  • Tracks and analyzes facilities spending and vendor performance across the region to identify trends, monitor budgets, and inform strategic decisions related to asset lifecycle management and capital improvements.
  • Participates in recurring team meetings and cross-functional updates to communicate project status, escalate recurring issues, and align on short- and long-term facilities priorities.
  • Coaches and supports Facilities Supervisors and other team members by offering guidance, oversight, and opportunities for skill development to ensure high-quality service delivery and professional growth.
  • Collaborates with Operations and other departments to establish a preventative maintenance mindset across the region, implementing systems and routines to proactively address issues before they disrupt service.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation for all maintenance activities, ensuring clear communication, recordkeeping, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

The Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing facilities operations in a multi-unit environment, preferably within restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors.
  • Proven success managing a high volume of service requests, vendor relationships, and project timelines while maintaining service quality and cost control.
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and facilities operations, with the ability to assess, scope, and prioritize repairs independently.
  • Experience using ServiceChannel or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across internal teams and external partners.
  • Adept at managing competing priorities in a dynamic, field-based role, including travel up to 40% of the time and responding to urgent needs after hours.
