About You
You love Jesus. You love kids. You are mission-driven, relationship-minded and motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You bring excellence to your work, communicate effectively and take ownership of whatever is in front of you.
You thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment and are comfortable wearing multiple hats. You are adaptable, collaborative and willing to jump in wherever needed-whether that means building relationships, solving problems, creating new opportunities or supporting others to move an important initiative forward.

About the Job
LifeWise is seeking a gospel-centered, creative and digitally fluent Social Media Manager to grow national awareness of LifeWise Academy and build a distinctive, engaging social media presence.

This role will own LifeWise's national social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn. You'll have significant freedom to experiment, develop new content formats and find creative ways to introduce LifeWise to new audiences while engaging the parents, donors, church leaders, program staff and supporters already connected to our mission.
You'll work alongside copywriters, designers, videographers and other marketing team members-but you'll be the social expert in the room. You'll help determine what content we need, capture and create content yourself when appropriate and direct the broader creative team to develop content built to succeed on social.
Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Brand
  • Own and continually evolve LifeWise's organic social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Develop a distinctive, recognizable and engaging social presence that grows national awareness of LifeWise
  • Build and manage an editorial calendar that balances audience growth, supporter engagement, organizational priorities and key content pillars
  • Identify emerging platforms, trends, formats and opportunities and determine how LifeWise can use them authentically
  • Experiment aggressively with new content approaches, learn from performance and turn successful ideas into repeatable strategies
  • Partner with marketing leadership to establish goals and continually refine LifeWise's social strategy

Content & Storytelling
  • Develop social-first content concepts designed around how audiences actually consume and share content online
  • Capture authentic, phone-native content at LifeWise programs, events and other opportunities, including short-form interviews, testimonials and behind-the-scenes stories
  • Edit existing video, interviews and other assets into compelling social-first content
  • Brief and direct LifeWise's copywriting and creative teams on the content needed to achieve social media goals
  • Identify compelling people and stories across the LifeWise movement and help individuals feel comfortable and confident creating content on camera
  • Adapt content and creative approaches for the unique audiences and behaviors of each social platform

Audience Growth & Engagement
  • Grow LifeWise's follower base and engagement across social platforms
  • Create a deliberate mix of content designed to reach new audiences and content that informs, inspires and rallies existing supporters
  • Manage comments, messages and conversations across LifeWise's national social accounts
  • Manage community engagement on paid social campaigns in partnership with the Growth Marketing team
  • Monitor conversations about LifeWise, released time religious instruction and relevant topics to identify opportunities, trends and emerging issues
  • Use social listening and audience feedback to inform future content and strategy
  • Track and report social media performance, translating results into clear insights and recommendations for continued growth

Creators & Community
  • Help build LifeWise's influencer and creator strategy from the ground up
  • Identify and develop relationships with creators and influencers who can authentically introduce LifeWise to new audiences
  • Explore opportunities for user-generated content and creator partnerships that extend LifeWise's reach
  • Equip local LifeWise program teams with social media best practices, tools and guidance to strengthen their local presence
  • Identify successful content and approaches from across the LifeWise network that can be amplified or replicated nationally
  • Support additional social media and growth marketing priorities as needed

Qualifications and Experience
  • A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
  • 3+ years of experience in social media, digital content, content marketing or a related field
  • A portfolio demonstrating the ability to create social-first content that earns attention and drives audience growth or engagement
  • Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn and how content strategy differs across platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize, create and develop compelling short-form video content
  • Comfortable capturing content with a smartphone and working with video editing tools to create platform-native content
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, audience behavior and emerging content formats
  • Experience using social media analytics to evaluate performance and inform strategy
  • Strong creative instincts and a willingness to experiment, test ideas and challenge conventional approaches
  • Ability to direct and collaborate with copywriters, designers, videographers and other creative professionals
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to help others feel comfortable sharing their stories on camera
  • Excellent communication, organization and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Ability to travel occasionally, up to approximately 15%

Salary and Benefits
  • From $65,000 per year
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for qualified employees
  • Retirement plan, including employer match
  • Unlimited PTO for qualified employees
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Working Location: Hybrid - Central Ohio
