Position Summary
The Communications & Graphic Design Specialist is responsible to collaborate with Group Benefits service teams to create employee benefit communication materials and websites as a valued service for our clients; provides advanced graphic design, website design, and the creation (including copywriting) of communication materials such as presentations, brochures, and postcards.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborates with Group Benefits service teams to create employee benefit communication materials and websites as a valued service for our clients. Provides advanced graphic design, website design, and creation (including copywriting) of communication materials such as presentations, brochures, and postcards.
• Works closely with the Group Benefits service teams to develop communication materials to meet established timelines for open enrollment, new programs or new benefit introductions, and ongoing annual communication campaigns.
• Develops and updates employee benefit websites for clients using appropriate design template, WordPress plugins and security protocols.
• Installs and utilizes Google Analytics on sites and regularly reports on website activity.
• Creates (copywriting and design) client newsletters.
• Creates (copywriting and design) HTML employee communication emails for clients.
• Creates branded logos for use in client benefit communication campaigns.
• Creates and updates employee benefit guides and communications for clients in MS PowerPoint or Adobe InDesign; includes copywriting and design of postcards, posters, flyers and similar materials.
• Deploys and manages a catalog of standardized designs and templates that can be repurposed for various client communications projects.
• Coordinates mailing of employee communications with service teams, clients and external print/production/mail vendors.
• As needed, posts communication materials on flipbook platform.
• Assists with graphic design and layout of responses to Group Benefits RFPs including production of final documents.
• May interact directly with clients as needed, participating in client meetings, presenting design concepts, and gathering input to inform communication materials.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
• 5-10 years or more of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Communications design in a customer service environment
• Creation of websites and content using WordPress; use of appropriate templates and plug-ins
• Project management of ongoing communication campaigns or similar projects requiring complicated timelines with multiple deliverables and deadlines
• Social media campaigns across various media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making ability
