Job description

M&K Truck Centers is an award-winning commercial vehicle dealer group with 38+ years of experience. We’re proud to be named 2025 Dealer of the Year for Volvo Trucks in North America and 2025 Central Region Dealer of the Year, reflecting our commitment to excellence in sales and service.

We are seeking a Director of Marketing to lead brand strategy and market presence across our Class 6–8 truck and trailer business. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for increasing customer awareness, strengthening brand recognition, and ensuring consistent visibility across all channels and customer touchpoints


The Director of Marketing will position the company as a trusted partner to fleet operators, owner-operators, and vocational customers, while leading a team and executing strategic advertising, customer engagement, and brand-building initiatives. This position works closely with Vice Presidents and the Chief Operating Officer and reports directly to the President.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead brand strategy to strengthen awareness and positioning within the Class 6–8 truck and trailer market; ensure consistent messaging around uptime, reliability, and total cost of ownership

  • Plan and manage advertising across digital, trade publications, and regional channels to maintain a strong, professional market presence

  • Execute customer-facing events including open houses, trade shows, and ride-and-drive demonstrations to build relationships and drive engagement

  • Lead planning of internal and external programs such as annual sales meetings and incentive trips to support performance and alignment

  • Partner with sales and dealer teams to support campaigns, align messaging, and drive qualified opportunities

  • Oversee development of consistent, high-quality content including customer stories, product highlights, and industry materials

  • Monitor trucking and trailer industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategy

  • Lead and develop the marketing team; set priorities, provide coaching, and manage external partners

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align marketing initiatives with company strategy and growth goals

  • Manage marketing budget and resources to ensure effective execution and strong return on investment

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, including leadership responsibility

  • Experience in trucking, trailers, or related industries strongly preferred

  • Strong background in branding, advertising, and event marketing

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead high-performing teams

  • Ability to travel approximately 10–20%

Skills

  • Strong understanding and intermediate proficiency in:

    • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team

  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills

  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and external partners

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
