Mid-Level Trademark, Copyright & Media Associate Attorney (NY or CA)
Location: New York, NY or California (Los Angeles - Century City, Palo Alto, San Diego, or San Francisco) – Hybrid
Salary Range: $310,000 – $390,000 per year
Experience Level: 4–6 years

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join a leading Am Law 100 firm with a nationally recognized Intellectual Property practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong litigation and counseling experience in trademark and copyright matters, along with demonstrated trial experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in trademark and copyright litigation matters in federal courts and before the USPTO.

  • Advise on IP strategy, brand protection, copyright enforcement, and media law issues.

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and manage all stages of litigation.

  • Collaborate with a high-performing team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications:
  • JD from a nationally recognized law school.

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience at a reputable law firm; Am Law 100 experience strongly preferred.

  • Licensed to practice in New York or California.

  • Strong writing and analytical skills with excellent business judgment.

  • Trial and courtroom experience is required.

  • Strong client service orientation and collaborative approach.
