Job description

Opportunity

As Senior Product & Technology Counsel, you will take on a highly impactful role supporting how Omnissa builds, scales, and partners across our entire platform. You will work directly with product, engineering, security, and alliances teams to help shape new features, enable strategic integrations, and drive our most complex IP & technology partnership deals.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, security, and alliances teams across all Omnissa product families to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead the negotiation and structuring of technology alliances, strategic integrations, OEM arrangements, embedded-technology, IP licensing, and marketplace deals.
  • Advise on legal, regulatory, data, and security issues related to product design, development, functionality, interoperability, and third‑party integration.
  • Assist with intellectual property considerations related to product development, including licensing and patents, trade secret, and trademark protection.
  • Develop scalable legal frameworks, guidance, processes, and training that help product and engineering teams move quickly while managing risk effectively.
  • Support commercial and channel partner agreement negotiations when product involvement is required.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts on specialized risk areas and accelerate issues where appropriate.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance legal team efficiency, including opportunities to incorporate automation or AI-enabled workflows.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of legal experience, including at least 4 years in‑house at a technology company.
  • Deep experience negotiating complex technology and intellectual property transactions, alliances deals, integration partnerships, and OEM, resell, and embedded-technology agreements.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for product and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex matters and exercise strong judgment in fast‑moving, cross‑functional environments.
  • Broad issue-spotting capability across IP, privacy, security, regulatory, and product-related domains.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience using AI tools in your daily legal work or designing processes that leverage AI-enabled workflows.
  • CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or other privacy certifications.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: The typical base salary for this role is between USD $169,000 - $317,000 per year and it may be eligible for participation in a corporate bonus program. Actual compensation offer may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, or other relevant factors.
