Copper Sales information

What is copper sales?

Copper sales refer to the business activities involved in selling copper, a widely used industrial metal, to manufacturers, construction companies, and other buyers. Professionals in copper sales source copper from mines or suppliers and negotiate contracts with clients who need copper for electrical wiring, plumbing, electronics, and various industrial applications. The role often includes market analysis, client relationship management, logistics, and ensuring product quality and compliance with regulations. Success in copper sales requires a good understanding of global copper markets, pricing trends, and customer requirements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in copper sales?

To thrive in Copper Sales, you need a solid understanding of metals markets, product specifications, and strong sales or business development experience, often supported by a relevant degree in business or engineering. Familiarity with CRM systems, market analysis tools, and supply chain management platforms is typically required. Exceptional negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills set top performers apart. These competencies are crucial for successfully navigating the competitive metals market, closing deals, and building long-term client partnerships.

What are some common challenges faced in a copper sales role, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Copper Sales often encounter challenges such as fluctuating market prices, supply chain disruptions, and intense competition from both domestic and international suppliers. Staying informed about global commodity trends and building strong relationships with reliable suppliers can help mitigate these issues. Additionally, effective communication and negotiation skills are essential to manage client expectations and secure favorable contracts. Collaborating closely with logistics, procurement, and finance teams also ensures smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Based on-site in San Francisco, this critical role blends high-level executive support, operational optimization, and strategic project management. This position acts as the central engine of the organization, managing complex communication flows, maintaining rigorous sales pipeline hygiene, optimizing third-party agency performance, and acting as the master "fix-it" leader across all business functions. This is an incredible, high-impact opportunity for a seasoned operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a direct path into executive leadership.

Core Responsibilities —

  • Serves as the primary strategic thought partner and operational right hand to the Founder & CEO, driving key initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Manages, evaluates, and optimizes third-party marketing agencies, balancing hands-on execution with strategic optimization.
  • Oversees sales pipeline hygiene and CRM workflows (specifically within Copper/Google ecosystems) to drive revenue precision.
  • Acts as the primary operational problem-solver across all business touch points, stepping in to resolve complex issues swiftly and independently.
  • Drives high-volume daily communications across Slack, email, and administrative channels, ensuring no details fall through the cracks.
  • Manages high-priority correspondence and daily organizational priorities for the CEO.
  • Prepares the business for ongoing multi-unit expansion while absorbing financial and P&L learning directly from executive leadership.

Operational Involvement —

The Chief of Staff anchors the executive office and operational rhythm by:

  • Maintaining a constant, highly responsive communication cadence with the CEO to ensure complete alignment.
  • Structuring daily workflows to ensure maximum productivity, bulletproof detail management, and zero communication bottlenecks.
  • Overseeing marketing campaign rollouts, agency deliverables, and customer acquisition metrics.
  • Working closely with local community teams at flagship locations to ensure brand standards and operational procedures are flawlessly executed.
  • Identifying operational inefficiencies across the company and building scalable systems to fix them.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be based on-site in San Francisco, California and authorized to work in the US.
  • Proven track record as a Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant, or Senior Operations Manager within a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Exceptional maturity, emotional intelligence, and composure under pressure, with a no-excuses, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Hyper-organized, Type-A personality with a bulletproof attention to detail and zero tolerance for missed steps.
  • Demonstrated experience managing CRMs (preferably Copper), sales pipelines, and third-party vendor or agency relationships.
  • Comfortable managing high-volume communication (Slack, email, phone) without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Flexibility to adapt to an evolving executive schedule and communication needs as required.

BENEFITS:

  • Competitive Salary ($150-165K+)
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
  • Unparalleled executive mentorship and direct P&L learning alongside the Founder & CEO.
  • Immense long-term career growth potential, including a clear trajectory toward Sr. Ops leadership.
