Job Summary:
CooperVision is a leading global manufacturer of contact lenses committed to improving the way people see each day. The Sr. Programmer Analyst - SSIS role involves developing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) programs to support data integration for a global supply chain planning application, requiring knowledge of enterprise integration architecture and integration technologies.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Analyze requests from users for new systems, new programs, program changes, etc. and recommend necessary action
โ€ข Design new systems and modifications to existing systems to meet user requirements.
โ€ข Write new or modify existing programs according to specified systems designs.
โ€ข Test new or modified programs to ensure that they conform to design. Develop test data for use in program testing
โ€ข Write documentation of system changes in conformance with department standards
โ€ข Write any necessary user documentation (report descriptions, user procedures, operations procedures)
โ€ข Train users in operation of new or modified systems.
โ€ข Aid in preparation of time and cost estimates for program development.
โ€ข Analyze requests and write program specs for Jr. Programmers and contractors.
โ€ข Provide programming support on-site or by phone as required for all shifts
โ€ข Maintain awareness of technological developments in computer hardware and software systems
โ€ข Provide timely and concise summaries of project status to manager
โ€ข Communicates and applies project standards.
โ€ข Consistently delivers high-quality services to the user community.
โ€ข Plan and lead testing, implementation, training, support and documentation activities for local projects
โ€ข Assist other developers โ€“ internal and external โ€“ through provision of functional specifications and technical walk through.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) knowledge and demonstrated experience required.
โ€ข Knowledge of designing and developing data transformation solutions using a variety of SSIS components (Data Flow Task, Data Flow transform tasks, Data Flow containers, Foreach Loop containers, Script components using C#).
โ€ข Reviews user requirements for new applications or enhancements to existing applications and performs analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and training related to the application developed.
โ€ข Software development life cycle (Waterfall & Agile like methods) and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
โ€ข Familiarity with building SQL database objects (tables, views, stored procedures).
โ€ข Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
โ€ข Excellent time management.
โ€ข Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
โ€ข Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
โ€ข Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
โ€ข Ability to produce exceptional quality output.
โ€ข 8 or more years of experience in designing, developing, implementing systems using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
โ€ข Five years of experience in System Design preferably in an ERP environment.
โ€ข Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related experience.
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiarity with project deployment model, use of project and package parameters, and Integration Services Catalog (including Environments)
โ€ข Experience with Oracle E-business Suite (EBS), Baan/Infor, o9 Solutions
โ€ข Knowledge of supply chain and operations (manufacturing, packaging and warehousing)
