SFC Phoenix Inc. dba Sticky Fingers Cooking is looking for enthusiastic temporary to permanent part-time Chef Teacher to help us Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids®!

If you're passionate about cooking, have experience teaching or coaching kids, and are looking for a fun, flexible, and meaningful part-time job, we want to meet you!

What You'll Do

  • Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
  • Spark Creativity: Introduce kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
  • Stay Organized: Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
  • Communicate via text and phone calls with the Admin Team to ensure students are accounted for, etc.
  • Be the Face of Fun: Inspire and encourage kids as they gain confidence in the kitchen.

Who You Are

  • Experienced teaching or coaching kids of various ages and backgrounds.
  • Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus approx 90 mins) at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Fridays.
  • Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids. Must arrive on campus 20 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
  • Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 6-12 weeks.
  • Have or willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must have or obtain an Az IVP Fingerprint Clearance card as a condition of employment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay ($60 per a one-hour class + food reimbursement).

**Each class is roughly 1.4 hours on campus. This includes 15 minutes of preparation prior to your scheduled class, and 5-15 minutes of clean up after your scheduled class.

A Day in the Life

As a Sticky Fingers Cooking insturctor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring "the kitchen" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
