POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Cook you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of residents. You will ensure all food is prepared according to established safety and sanitation standards while creating a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare fresh scratch-made meals using a recipe for residents according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
  • Assist the Food Service Manager with inventory control and ordering supplies.
  • Properly store food and kitchen supplies to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
  • Supervise and support Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is unavailable.
  • Set up breakfast bars, steam tables, and other meal service stations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure all kitchen cleaning tasks are completed.
  • Prepare and stock snacks and standard pantry items for resident areas
  • Utilize technology and computerized systems to efficiently and safely create a great dining experience for our residents and families.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years similar cooking experience preferred
