Position Overview

Sagard is building an AI-first alternative asset manager: by redesigning how the firm invests, raises capital, and operates from first principles. That transformation touches every part of the business: investment teams, business teams, financial planning, and enterprise operations.

This role sits at the centre of that effort. You'll work directly with the Chief of Staff to the Managing Partner, Head of Technology & AI at Sagard (and CEO of Diagram), supporting a mandate that spans AI transformation, cross-functional initiatives, and the operating infrastructure of a global asset manager at an inflection point.

This is a high-exposure, high-ownership role for someone who wants to see how a complex organization actually changes, and wants to be part of making it happen.

Responsibilities

  • Playing a central role in AI and technology transformation initiatives across the organization, working with teams to identify opportunities and help embed AI change into how people work
  • Supporting the design and execution of strategic technology initiatives across business teams, from scoping to delivery, to support the firm's broader operating transformation
  • Helping manage financial planning and forecasting processes, including budget tracking and forecasting across the technology and AI functions
  • Working with business teams to identify workflow redesign opportunities: mapping existing processes, identifying where AI can replace or augment manual work, and helping implement changes
  • Preparing materials for senior leadership: executive briefings, executive committee decks, and strategic analyses
  • Tracking adoption, business value, and outcomes from AI and technology initiatives across the firm
  • Helping establish the processes, intake mechanisms, and operating rhythms that allow business teams to run with greater discipline and less firefighting
  • Taking on research and analysis to inform decisions across the technology and AI agenda

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in management consulting with a focus on AI, corporate strategy, or a similar role at a technology-first organization
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI and a hands-on approach to using it, you're already thinking about how to redesign workflows, not just automate tasks
  • Active use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, or similar)
  • Finance and data fluency: you're comfortable with numbers and quantitative analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: you can distill complex information for senior leaders
  • An interest in building processes from scratch, you see absence of structure as an opportunity
  • High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple workstreams with competing priorities
  • Discretion and sound judgment, you'll work regularly with confidential information and senior stakeholders
  • Self-starter mindset: you identify problems early, propose solutions, and don't wait to be told what to do next
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.) or Microsoft365

Nice to have

  • Exposure to financial services, venture capital, asset management, or technology organizations
  • Bilingual with proficiency in French
