Our Conveyer Belt Technicians perform various tasks involved in the fabrication and installation, maintenance and repair of conveyor belting systems. They work at customer mine sites and in our Hibbing shop. Due to the nature of our client’s hours of operations, our Conveyer Belt Technicians must be available for occasional on-call rotation for nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer locations to install, maintain and repair conveyor belts to specification
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers.
  • Operate equipment in the shop to complete work orders
  • Communicate internally and externally about the status of all jobs
  • Work well with others on the team
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Must have 3+ years of conveyor belting experience, with some supervisory experience
  • Leadership acumen and the ability to mentor junior technicians
  • Skilled with hand and power tools and have a mechanical aptitude
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Possess a professional demeanor
  • Ability to build relationships and work well with others
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work an on-call rotation for nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and work off-site
  • Ability to work outdoors, as needed
  • Must be willing to join union and pay union dues
  • Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check and drug test
