Position Summary

The Conversions Technician supports stadium operations by executing event setups, strikes, and daily operational tasks across multiple departments. This role works closely with the IATSE Steward and various internal teams to complete conversion projects, set up private and public events, and support daily facility needs. Responsibilities include leading conversions such as field LEDs, concert flooring, and gate sets; assisting with mailroom and loading dock functions; organizing FF&E; and conducting building checks with Maintenance before events. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead conversions
    • Field LEDs, concert flooring, gate set, etc.
  • Work closely with IATSE Steward to work in multiple groups
  • Work on projects to help conversions and daily operations
  • Set/strike private & public events
    • Support event setups by preparing and installing furnishings and equipment such as tables, chairs, tents, pipe-and-drape, stages, stanchions, signage, and bike rack.
    • Configure the building for each event in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
  • Organize and sort through FF&E with Supervisor
  • Assist Maintenance with building checks before events
  • Assist with mailroom and loading dock (if needed)
  • Daily needs for different departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum level of education of High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience
  • Must be able to work overnight hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior conversion experience preferred
  • Forklift operation experience is preferred
  • OSHA 10 General Industry preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Must be able to understand and follow directions and perform job functions under limited supervision
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to work under pressure, in time sensitive operations, in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a moderate to very loud noise environment
  • Requires work with others in a group or team
  • Must be able to comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Must possess strong leadership and written/oral communication qualities
  • Must possess strong communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with conversion tasks
  • Must be able to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Must be able to work safely and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Must be able to work in a warm or cold environment
  • Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions).
