Job description

We have an opportunity as a Technical Project Manager with our client in Malvern, PA (Hybrid)
Job Details:
Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: Malvern, PA (Hybrid)
Type: Contractual
Responsibilities
  • Owns day-to-day technical delivery coordination for code conversion workstreams, ensuring scope, milestones, and dependencies are planned, tracked, and executed in alignment with the overall conversion approach and RACI model.
  • Acts as the primary coordination point between vendor engineers and internal technology teams, facilitating issue triage, dependency resolution, and alignment across application, batch, data, environment, and DevOps activities.
  • Drives execution transparency by managing delivery plans, risks, assumptions, and status reporting for conversion activities, escalating impediments that threaten timelines, quality, or readiness.
  • Partners with engineering, DevOps, and environment leads to ensure tooling, infrastructure, access, and processes are in place to support successful code conversion, testing, and production-parallel readiness.
  • Coordinates technical reviews, defect triage, and readiness checkpoints to validate converted code quality, adherence to standards, and alignment with downstream testing and deployment phases.
  • Supports stakeholder communication and change readiness by ensuring technical progress, risks, and impacts are clearly communicated to program leadership and partner teams.

Qualifications
Technical Program & Delivery Management
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-workstream technology initiatives, with strong skills in planning, dependency management, risk/issue tracking, and executive-level status reporting for complex delivery programs.
  • Code Conversion / Legacy Modernization Exposure
  • Hands-on experience supporting code conversion or modernization programs (e.g., mainframe to distributed/cloud platforms), including coordination of automated conversion, manual remediation, defect triage, and readiness activities.

Strong Technical Acumen
  • Working understanding of legacy and modern application stacks (e.g., batch processing, databases, interfaces, deployment pipelines) sufficient to partner effectively with engineering teams, review technical risks, and drive resolution without acting as a hands-on developer.

Vendor & Cross-Team Coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a single coordination point across vendors, internal engineering teams, platform/environment teams, and downstream testing partners, ensuring alignment and timely issue resolution.

Agile & Structured Delivery Practices
  • Experience operating within agile or hybrid delivery models, including sprint planning, backlog coordination, milestone tracking, and participation in program-level governance forums.

Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience translating technical progress, risks, and impacts into clear, actionable updates for program leadership and stakeholders.
