• W2 Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extension)

• This is a hybris position in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The current rotation one week in office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, one week in office Monday Tuesday, Thursday. This will likely shift to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday post office build out.

• This is a typical Monday – Friday, eight hour per day position.


Overview & Responsibilities

Join a leading utility team as a Project Manager overseeing high-impact electric distribution infrastructure upgrades. This role is vital to the modernization of the electric grid, specifically focusing on driving capacity expansion and voltage conversion projects (4KV to 12KV). You will lead projects through their entire lifecycle, from initial engineering design to construction execution and final closeout. You will…

• Manage all phases of utility infrastructure projects, including overhead, underground, civil, and boring work.

• Drive capacity expansion and 4 to 12 KV conversion projects from start to finish.

• Develop comprehensive project plans defining scope, milestones, and resource requirements.

• Lead project teams to meet objectives while monitoring progress and mitigating risks.

• Manage project budgets ($1M - $5M+) and perform regular financial forecasting.

• Issue RFPs and manage subcontractors and external contractors.

• For one specific role: Utilize SmartSheets and Power BI to create project dashboards and status reports for leadership.


Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience, specifically within utility, construction, or infrastructure.

• Demonstrated experience in Electric Distribution (4-12 KV).

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or Management (OR an Associate's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience).

• Clear documentation of educational background on the resume (Degree and Institution).

• Proficiency in financial forecasting and budget management.

• Experience with MS Office and project management principles.


Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an electric grid environment.

• Advanced proficiency in SmartSheets and Power BI.

• PMP Certification.

• Experience managing projects valued at $5M or more.
