Summary
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
Converse Retail Marketing develops marketing strategies to accelerate how we serve consumers and drive conversion in both owned doors and with our retail partners. We drive the vision and direction for Converse retail through brand defining and 365 storytelling. We lead marketing strategy and application development that deepens our authentic relationship with consumers across the marketplace.
This role reports to the Director of Global Stores and will focus on creating innovative, brand-right, and scalable marketing plans for our Converse stores.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're seeking a Junior Designer who has strong fundamental graphic design skills and passion for the Converse brand. Someone with knowledge of designing for retail spaces with an entrepreneurial mindset. Someone who is driven, thinks critically, is accountable, empathetic, resourceful, takes initiative and has strong interpersonal skills.
This role will lead the design and development of marketing assets and strategies that create impactful retail expressions and 365 storytelling to drive traffic and conversion for Converse stores. You will work closely with Global Retail Concepts, internal Marketing and Design, direct business teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.
In this role, you will be responsible for working with our Retail Marketing and Brand leads to design comprehensive, brand-right marketing materials for our stores. You will own the creation of 365 marketing and standards from brief-in by Marketing to delivery of final files or guidelines. This work will enable authentic and impactful consumer journeys and support the evolution of retail at Converse.
Responsibilities include:
- Building inventive solutions to Marketing needs
- Executing, versioning, and maintaining the Converse graphic standards and creative direction
- Comprehending briefs, and executing high-quality work while meeting deadlines
- Working with global partners to deliver brand-right assets and guidelines for marketing
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, positive, innovative, skilled at interpreting briefs, managing timelines, and has strong communication skills.
This role requires a passion for how consumers engage with Converse through product, platforms, and people, as well as a drive to challenge convention and innovate in retail marketing. You will collaborate cross-functionally, think creatively, and execute with excellence to push Converse forward.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably with a focus on retail brand/account marketing
  • Experience developing retail consumer journeys and programming at retail
  • Understanding of retail, visual merchandising, marketplace, consumer experience, and multi-channel marketing
  • Understanding of digital platforms including Apps, Email, SEO, Performance Marketing and Social Media
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects while remaining detail-oriented and able to deliver against functional deadlines
  • Ability to lead marketing plan development and execution process end-to-end
  • Experience with managing budgets, authoring marketing briefs and working with external agencies
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Analytical skills and business acumen. Proven capability to use data to drive business decisions & marketing optimization
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

Responsibilities
You will be the driver of retail marketing plans from inception to creation, and to execution. Your marketing approach will support larger brand and retail priorities, create distinction and contribute to connected, 365 storytelling across the marketplace. Responsibilities will include:
  • Retail Marketing Executions: Build out guidelines for integrated marketing plans and journeys for Converse Stores. This includes the intake of detailed briefs, managing feedback, coordinating release to geographies, ensuring readiness for deployment, and providing post-launch hindsight analysis to inform future strategies
  • Retail Concepts Marketing: Under the direction of our Brand and Marketing leads, develop the designs for marketing strategies and principles across our retail formats, including: brand filters, zoning priorities, and visual standards. Collaborate with Stores, Experience, and Business teams to establish 365 Marketing components across design and the consumer journey.
  • 365 Retail Standards: Design the assets and training tools for Product Presentation and Visual Merchandising standards, driving customer engagement and promoting key product strategies. Partner with marketing and training teams to build toolkits and training materials to scale standards globally.
  • Store Signage: From our Marketing Design brief, manage the creation and deployment of in-store signage that aligns with promotions, product hierarchy, CRM, and operational needs to enhance the overall store experience and ensure brand consistency. Lead the development of promotional strategies to drive foot traffic and conversion, aligning with sales needs and key retail moments.
  • CRM & Traffic Driving: Design assets that support our marketing strategies that welcome new consumers into our ecosystem and engage existing customers and drives repeat visits. Focus on leveraging consumer insights to build assets and engagement points for geographies to develop detailed implementation strategies for execution.
  • Market Visits: As needed, conduct market visits to evaluate execution of marketing initiatives, and competitive insights. Provide actionable feedback and ensure follow-through on recommendations to improve future seasonal plans and consumer experiences.
