Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to design, program, commission, and support custom automation systems and machinery. This individual will play a critical role in delivering turnkey solutions, from initial programming and system validation through on-site commissioning and long-term customer support.
This is a hands-on engineering role offering strong project ownership, customer interaction, and exposure to complex automation environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop PLC-based control systems for custom automation equipment
  • Program and configure HMI interfaces for operator interaction and diagnostics
  • Integrate and program servo systems, cam-driven applications, pneumatic systems, and electrically actuated stations
  • Support software validation activities and documentation requirements
  • Execute and assist with DQ, IQ, and OQ protocols in compliance with GMP and GAMP standards
  • Perform system commissioning, debugging, and field modifications both in-house and at customer facilities
  • Create, maintain, and update project documentation, technical specifications, and operating manuals
  • Review and interpret electrical schematics; recommend and implement updates as needed
  • Collaborate directly with customers to clarify requirements and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Participate in design reviews, installations, and service support activities
  • Deliver operator and maintenance training at customer sites
  • Provide production and system support for installed machines and automation lines
  • Serve as the Controls Engineering lead on assigned projects, partnering closely with Project Management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electronics, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in custom automation and industrial control systems
  • Strong PLC and HMI programming experience
  • Proficiency with Siemens and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) platforms, including servo motion control
