Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking an Army Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work in the Pentagon with our current team in support of the Department of Army G3 (DAG3) development of the latest Force Generation, Modernization and Readiness policy, process, and automation.
What you will do
  • Provide Army subject matter expertise supporting HQ, Department of the Army and various Army functional proponents to develop and implement Readiness and Modernization initiatives
  • Operate within existing Army processes, using current IT solutions, to develop products in support of the client's Modernization, Readiness, and Force Generation initiatives
  • Externally forward-facing individuals possessing experience integrating quickly and efficiently with external Army entities to coordinate with our internal technical teams
  • Internal - Technical & Functional Levels
  • Support customer needs, as requested
  • Able to work independently and self-identify tasks
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to research and evaluate new concepts and processes to improve performance

What you need to have
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 to 12 years of experience; Master's Degree and 8 to 10 years of experience; PhD and 5 to 7 years of experience (in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 6 additional years of relevant experience)
  • Clearance: Must be able to maintain a Top-Secret clearance
  • Strong Army or other military branch functional knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Army (or other military branch) process (specifically Readiness, Force Structure, Equipment, and/or Personnel) and/or systems
  • Operations, planning, training/resources experience
  • Ability to translate functional needs to other team members
  • Strong communication skills

What we'd like you to have
  • Recent, relevant military experience (Army preferred) in Force Management, Readiness, Initiatives or Strategy
  • Experience working on/with an Army Command staff (HQDA, FORSCOM, TRADOC, AMC, AFC)
