eagle Controls is seeking qualified professionals to join our Controls team. eagle Controls uses the most advanced, user-friendly automation systems in the market. eagle designs, builds, programs and commissions building automation system projects for new or existing construction across a variety of markets.


IMIโ€™s acquisition of eagle Controls in 2018 helped complete our unique offering of beginning-to-end mechanical system delivery. eagle Controls is headquartered in Chesterfield, MO and has offices in Granite City, IL, Nashville, TN, and Charlotte, NC.


We are currently looking for a Controls Technician to join our Controls team located at our office in Nashville, TN. Our ideal candidate for a Controls Technician will have proven experience with HVAC, a technical background, and a focus on continuous learning and development. They will be self-motivated and demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills.


Primary responsibilities for eagleโ€™s Controls Technician include:

  • Load system-level controller software. Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc) and complete all required commissioning documentation.
  • Communicate updates to management and the customer so that all are informed of job progress and issues and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
  • Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Respond to basic warranty calls, assess their needs and provide solutions or paths for a positive customer service experience. Keeps customer information on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues and recommended system enhancements, upgrades, and/or replacements.
  • Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Abide by all safety standards and attend required safety training.


Primary qualifications for eagleโ€™s Controls Technician include:

  • Associates Degree or similar education or experience desired (High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is a minimum requirement).
  • Basic computer skills required. IT knowledge or experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with the ability to interpret, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to represent the company to customers and other outside contact in an ethical and professional manner.
