Leverage your deep technical expertise and leadership to manage the delivery of cutting-edge risk and controls projects in the AI and Data space, fostering growth and innovation in a dynamic environment.
As a Lead Technical Program Manager - AI and Data Controls in Consumer and Community Banking's Data Technology team, you will drive the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs that strengthen data risk management and controls while advancing business goals across the firm. Unique to this role is the unique combination of coding expertise, automation skills, and data-driven innovation to address risk and controls challenges. You will combine technical program management with hands-on automation, dashboarding, and a foundational understanding of AI/ML and data lifecycles.
Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability will enable you to navigate ambiguity and change, allowing you to influence technology initiatives to ensure they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. You will foster productive relationships, influence decision-making, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness.
Job responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans that integrate technical requirements, risk and controls considerations, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of technology solutions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks by proactively addressing potential roadblocks, implementing contingency plans, and ensuring robust controls are in place for AI/ML initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, risk, compliance, business stakeholders) to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize automation and advanced analytics to assess program performance, monitor controls, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design and build dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize risk metrics, automate reporting, alerting, notifications and enable data-driven decision-making for risk and controls management.
  • Champion advanced technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and risk awareness within the team.
  • Contribute to operational plans and risk management strategies as a subject matter expert, ensuring the highest quality and professionalism in service delivery.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification in program management concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands on experience in basic programming and dashboard creation for automation and analytics
  • Demonstrated automation mindset, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and controls enhancement using technology
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and influence decision-making across cross-functional teams and clients
  • Experience in data management, data governance, or risk management/analytics
  • Experience with data analytics platforms such as Tableau, Alteryx, or Python, and automation tools
  • Experience developing dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Experience leading AI/ML and data programs, with a basic understanding of data lifecycles, machine learning concepts, and associated risks and controls
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting to streamline workflows and reporting
