Summary

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Process Automation and Control Engineer to join our North American Engineering Hub. In this role, you will play an integral part in leading automation projects, implementing cyber security and providing operational support around the globe. This position is crucial for advancing our automation journey and delivering exceptional automation services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of automation portion of capital projects including initial design, detailed engineering, implementation, and commissioning phases.

  • Championing safety by ensuring adherence to process safety work processes and life critical work processes when in the field.

  • Serve as the technical authority on all aspects of the projects, ensuring that all technical deliverables adhere to industry standards and best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with site leadership, engineering teams, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution and to foster strong, productive relationships.

  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, and maintaining the highest quality of work.

  • Deliver control system configuration services for the NA sites.

  • Provide Automation support to Operational sites for life cycle management, cybersecurity services, and other automation needs.

  • Occasional travel for commissioning or other project related activities may be required. This includes North America, South America, and Asia Pacific Regions

What you will need to apply:

  • Ability to travel ~25% domestically and some international

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Controls Engineering.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Chemical / Petrochemical / Pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

  • Proven track record of leading control-focused engineering projects.

  • Understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as Emerson DeltaV, ABB 800xA, Foxboro, or Rockwell.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.

  • Expertise in control philosophy for modern process plants and a strong understanding of production manufacturing processes and instrumentation.
