Job description

Water Treatment Technologies is currently seeking a motivated Irrigation Specialist / Installation Technician to join our growing service team. This position is responsible for the installation of residential irrigation systems, ensuring proper system performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands irrigation system components, and can work efficiently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Irrigation System Installation
  • Read site maps or property layouts to properly place sprinkler heads and irrigation zones
  • Dig trenches and install irrigation lines at proper depths while avoiding underground utilities
  • Cut, fit, prime, and glue PVC or poly pipe to ensure secure, leak-free connections
  • Install irrigation components including:
    • Backflow preventers
    • Zone valves
    • Valve manifolds
    • Sprinkler heads (rotors, sprays, bubblers)

Electrical & Controller Setup
  • Wire low-voltage solenoids from valve boxes to irrigation controllers
  • Install and configure rain sensors and smart Wi-Fi irrigation controllers
  • Program initial watering schedules for customers

Job Documentation & Field Operations
  • Use field software (ServiceTitan or similar) to:
    • Clock in and out of jobs
    • Upload before-and-after photos
    • Document materials used during installation

Site Restoration
  • Backfill trenches properly and tamp soil to prevent settling
  • Replace sod and restore landscaping to original condition
  • Ensure job site is clean and presentable before leaving

Professional Standards
  • Maintain strong communication with homeowners and explain system operation
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Comply with 811 "Call Before You Dig" regulations
  • Maintain tools and install truck inventory
  • Complete installations within scheduled job timelines while minimizing callbacks

Qualifications
