Controller

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting functions.

This role will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and provide financial and operational analysis to support executive leadership and organizational growth.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a background in healthcare or professional services environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and internal controls

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling activities

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members

  • Coordinate external audits, tax engagements, and regulatory reporting requirements

  • Support executive leadership with financial and operational analysis to assist strategic decision-making

  • Oversee revenue cycle management and partner with operational teams to improve financial performance

  • Evaluate and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies

Qualifications & Requirements
  • CPA and/or MBA required

  • 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience

  • Prior public accounting experience preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience

  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
