Location: Tyler, Texas
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to manage all financial aspects of an $18 million FinTech company. This role oversees the daily operations of the accounting function, ensures strong internal controls, and maintains full compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

The Financial Controller reports directly to the Company President and will play a key role in supporting the companyโ€™s continued growth and expansion of its product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the monthly close and preparation of financial statements
  • Create comprehensive financial reporting packages
  • Present financial results to the management team
  • Develop and manage annual budgets
  • Prepare all client schedules and supporting documentation for annual audits (two entities)
  • Oversee daily cash management, including cash flow statements and projections
  • Execute weekly vendor check runs
  • Reconcile credit cards, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts
  • Record cash receipts in the general ledger
  • Record residual payments and process weekly bonus payments to company agents
  • Prepare and file sales tax reports
  • Review and approve ADP payroll tax filings
  • Manage property taxes and franchise taxes
  • Serve as liaison to regulators and external auditors, as assigned
  • Perform special projects as needed
Candidate Requirements
  • CPA designation required
  • 2+ years of audit experience in public accounting
  • 3โ€“5 years of experience as a Financial Controller
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables
  • FinTech industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Sage 50 Accounting Software a plus
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
