Our client, a growing multi-entity organization, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Controller to partner closely with the CFO and take a leadership role in day-to-day accounting operations.

This is a high-impact position ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys both operational accounting oversight and strategic financial insight across multiple business lines.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & Oversight

  • Support the CFO in daily accounting operations across multiple entities
  • Review and oversee key accounting functions, including:
    • Accounts Payable (A/P)
    • Accounts Receivable (A/R)
    • Payroll
    • Insurance-related accounting
    • General Ledger (G/L) activity
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial transactions

Financial Reporting & Reconciliations

  • Oversee general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations
  • Review financial data and support preparation of internal financial reports
  • Ensure proper controls and processes are followed across entities

Business & Operational Insight

  • Develop a strong understanding of the organization’s portfolio of businesses
  • Identify opportunities for financial and operational improvements
  • Provide recommendations to enhance efficiency, profitability, and reporting structure

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Assist in strengthening accounting processes, controls, and workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and operations teams
  • Support ongoing scalability of accounting systems and practices

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • General ledger accounting
    • Financial reporting
    • Reconciliation processes
  • Experience reviewing and managing A/P, A/R, and payroll functions
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with executive leadership
