Job Responsibilities:
This data-driven individual, as part of the finance team, will be responsible for GL administration and providing support for the monthly financial close process. This position will ensure monthly transactions are accurate and are in line with GAAP when submitted to the parent organization.
This position reports to the Assistant Controller. This role is onsite and is based in Sparks, Nevada.
Accountabilities:
  • General Ledger reporting and maintenance
  • Month End Support
  • Support for Accounts Receivable & Payable
  • North America Sales and Use Tax filings
  • Audit Support
  • Financial Partner for Organization

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review financial accounts monthly and perform journal entry adjustments to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Work with the Assistant Controller on general ledger account maintenance to ensure financial reporting is accurate and follows GAAP requirements.
  • Support Assistant Controller on month end financial close and meet required reporting deadlines from the parent organization.
  • Perform nexus sales and use tax filings.
  • Provide support to accounts receivable and payable team to ensure accuracy.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Assistant Controller or Company Management.
  • Responsibility directly tied to Watts Values (integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.)

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of two years experience; or three to five years of related job experience or training; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Efficiency with excel and is resourceful in solving problems.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Dynamics (D365) experience.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Sparks location (Monday - Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
