Financial Controller

Senior Finance Leadership | Project-Driven Environment

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, and planning activities for a large, project-based organization operating in complex, regulated environments.

This is a senior finance role with responsibility for technical accounting, project controls integration, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities, including project accounting, general ledger, intercompany, fixed assets, and audits
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow modeling, and variance analysis
  • Partner closely with operations and project controls to support financial decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable tax and regulatory requirements
  • Manage audit processes and support insurance and risk-related financial activities
  • Drive improvements in reporting, FP&A processes, and financial systems (Oracle / reporting tools)
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of accounting professionals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • CPA or CMA strongly preferred; MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of accounting or finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in project accounting and FP&A
  • Experience in construction, mining, infrastructure, or other project-driven industries preferred
  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience with Oracle and/or Power BI reporting tools
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
