Controller

Job Post Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations within a gaming and hospitality environment. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing accounting functions, supervising finance personnel, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing financial insights to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, gaming industry experience, and a proven ability to lead financial operations while maintaining strict compliance standards.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely monthly financial statements, forecasts, and financial reports.

  • Lead and manage accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and audit functions.

  • Review and audit account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly budget variance analysis.

  • Partner with department leaders to develop and manage departmental budgets.

  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve business results.

  • Consolidate financial data and ensure accurate reporting of business performance.

  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and filings.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal controls, and financial policies.

  • Develop, monitor, and enforce internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.

  • Oversee daily revenue audits and financial operational reviews.

  • Coordinate with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and third party stakeholders.

  • Participate in compliance committees and support quality control initiatives.

  • Develop and track key business performance metrics.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA or CMA certification required.

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience within the gaming industry.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and internal controls.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software platforms.

  • Experience with financial management systems and casino accounting software.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
