About the job

We are representing a fast growing publicly traded company in the Technology, Media and Information sector that is looking to hire their Corporate Controller.

This role has runway to grow into the Chief Accounting Officer post within the next 2-3 years.

The Controller will oversee month-end close, corporate consolidations, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.

About the Role

  • Oversee the month-end close process for while maintaining a system of effective controls, policies, and procedures over month-end activities
  • Prepare the consolidation and accompanying financial statements in adherence to US GAAP
  • Lead and manage the preparation process for quarterly and annual public filings (10Q, 10K, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the finance team on providing financial data for the earnings release, supplement, as well as reporting any non-GAAP measures
  • Prepare certain accounting entries and disclosures related to stock based compensation, preferred shares, EPS, and all other corporate transactions
  • Prepare technical accounting position papers, as required, and assist with the documentation of policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in SEC Reporting and/or Corporate Controlling or similar role with prior public accounting experience preferred.
  • Significant experience in the preparation of 10Q/K financials and footnote disclosures required.
  • High level of knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements, including project management and compliance.
  • Excellent communication; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, high growth environment.

Compensation & Benefits

$200-250K base + $100-125K target bonus (cash + equity)
