Accounting Controller/Manager | Full-Time


Already Design Co. is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Controller to manage our day-to-day accounting operations and ensure our financial records are accurate, current, and management-ready.


Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting or controllership experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Extensive experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Strong bank and credit card reconciliation experience
  • Experience with inventory accounting and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to independently manage priorities, deadlines, and accounting processes
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations in QuickBooks Online
  • Maintain an accurate General Ledger and Chart of Accounts
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare and review weekly AP and AR Aging Reports
  • Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts
  • Manage inventory accounting and Cost of Goods Sold
  • Properly account for manufacturing, freight, decoration, and landed product costs
  • Reconcile Shopify sales and payouts with QuickBooks Online
  • Manage the monthly and year-end close processes
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and management reports
  • Analyze customer and program profitability, COGS, and budget-to-actual performance
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for the company’s outside CPA
  • Support tax preparation, 1099s, and year-end reporting
  • Establish and maintain strong accounting controls and procedures
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues proactively
  • Help improve and automate accounting processes

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on Controller who works directly inside QuickBooks Online every day, not simply someone who reviews financial reports.


The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between detailed transaction-level accounting and higher-level financial reporting. This person will take ownership of the accounting function, identify discrepancies before they become problems, and provide management with timely, reliable financial information.


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred. CPA or CMA is a plus but not required.
