Controller / Finance & Accounting Manager

100% Remote

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Controller / Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of a fast-growing marketing company. This person will own the day-to-day accounting function while providing leadership with accurate financial reporting, cash flow management, forecasting, and operational insights that support continued growth.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where advertising spend, lead generation, and cash flow move quickly. Experience supporting companies with significant marketing spend, digital advertising, affiliate marketing, or lead generation is a strong plus.

What You'll Do
  • Own the company's accounting and financial operations
  • Manage cash flow to ensure healthy working capital and liquidity
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections
  • Monitor company spending and identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency
  • Partner with leadership on financial planning and strategic decision-making
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger activity
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations
  • Coordinate with outside CPA firms on tax filings and year-end financials
  • Develop financial reporting dashboards and KPIs for executive leadership
  • Improve accounting processes and internal controls as the company scales

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of accounting, finance, or controller experience
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • Experience managing AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting digital marketing, lead generation, affiliate marketing, advertising, SaaS, or technology companies
  • Familiarity with managing businesses that have significant monthly advertising spend
  • Experience building financial processes in a rapidly growing company
  • Experience working closely with founders or executive leadership


Base Salary: $120k-$130K, plus 10% annual bonus.
