Job Title: Controller – Automotive
Location: Roanoke, VA 24004
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to lead the financial operations of our dealership. This role is essential to ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and driving strategic financial performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in line with dealership and manufacturer requirements.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to improve profitability, ROI, and overall financial performance.

  • Expense Control: Review dealership expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Accounting Oversight: Ensure accurate recording of all transactions in compliance with GAAP.

  • Tax Compliance: Manage timely and accurate tax filings and payments.

  • Cash Management: Develop systems to optimize cash flow and reduce financial risk.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).

  • Proven experience in automotive dealership accounting (required).

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (CDK preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
