  • Union Facility - Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU)
Job Overview:

We are currently hiring for PC Coordinator on first shift. This person is responsible for providing administrative support within all aspects of the Process Control department including data entry, recordkeeping, scheduling, inventory, planning and production.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Assist in maintaining records of all raw materials.
  • Enter data into SAP and other systems as needed.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Work with PC Coordinator in ordering bulk salt as needed through SAP.
  • Work with lead coordinators to ensure proper amount of people are scheduled to cover production scheduled requirements.
  • Work with PC Coordinator to ensure all process orders are adjusted in SAP accordingly (pickles, relish, sauces, etc), including production.
  • Monitor testing of stock for production, monitor that QA testing is done and samples are upstairs.
  • Enter information corresponding to PC in the Daily Tracker.
  • Assist on receiving Bills, ordering raw materials to cover production needs.
  • Process forklift repair orders, trucking bills, scale tickets, & drivers paperwork.
  • Assist in ordering drum stock (pickle imports).
  • Work with PC Coordinator to make sure tanks are ready to be used for production.
  • Publish daily work schedule, review daily time sheets, enter schedule in Kronos timekeeping system. Distribute layoff list if applicable.
  • Be a backup and cross-train with other positions within the Process Control department to cover vacations or absences on the floor and/or within the department. This encompasses taking on other duties to support the department.
  • Prepare production paperwork for night shift employees.
  • Assist in processing vacation requests.
  • Follow safe practices and report safety issues to supervisor as they arise. Conduct safety/GMP observations weekly.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Quality Risk
  • Management Program (QRMP) as assigned.
  • Assist leads & perform any other duties as required by supervision
  • Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
    • Following PPE requirements
    • Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 - 100 pounds, requesting assistance as necessary.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee will be exposed during his/her job to high noise levels, chemicals, exposure to strong odors, fumes or airborne particles, constant stair climbing, and slippery floors.

Personal Protective Equipment: The employee is regularly required to wear company authorized safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, rubber boots, chemical protection and other personal protective equipment to successfully perform the functions of this job safely.

Qualifications:
  • Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification
  • Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification
