Personal Caretaker & Culinary Lead (ON SITE - Food and Housing Included)

Location: Lake Leelanau, MI (Private Organic Farm)

Schedule: Monday–Friday (Live on the property full time, weekends are free)

Compensation: The comprehensive benefits package includes on-site housing, all organic food, and high-speed internet.

Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, capable, and culinary-minded female to provide dedicated care and support for an 86-year-old matriarch on our family’s organic farm. This role is ideal for an individual who values the rhythm of farm life and understands that exceptional care is rooted in nutrition, safety, and genuine human connection.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Culinary Management: Prepare 2-3 daily nutrient-dense, organic meals utilizing seasonal farm-to-table ingredients to support vitality and health.
  • Daily Assistance: Provide support with daily living tasks, including morning dressing, medication management, and coordinating medical appointments or professional services.
  • Engagement & Companionship: Maintain a warm, consistent presence through conversation, light walks on the farm, and activities that ensure a high quality of life.
  • Transportation: Manage errands, grocery shopping, and transport for social engagements or appointments.

Qualifications

  • Genuine affinity for the elderly with a patient and observant nature.
  • Advanced culinary skills with an emphasis on whole-food and organic preparation.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Physical ability to assist with light mobility needs (e.g., assistance with bathing).
