Job description

Start your renewable energy career today! Nor-Cal Controls provides controls solutions for utility-scale renewable energy power plants, and we are looking for a Control Panel Technician to join our stellar team! As a Control Panel Technician, you will be performing specialized assembly of low voltage industrial control panels. This role also serves as the first step in a career path that leads directly to advanced roles in our Engineering department! This is a full-time*, onsite opportunity with a starting salary of $21 hourly.

What will a successful Control Panel Technician accomplish in the first 90 days?
  • Become proficient at wiring and assembly of control panels, operate equipment such as hand tools and diagnostic hardware. This includes layout of components, mounting and wiring of components per schematic and finally mounting of back-panel in cabinet while maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Perform quality checks and Factory Acceptance Testing of the control panels.

Preferred Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED and one (1) year fabrication/assembling experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience. (AS degrees in mechatronics, computer science, or electrical engineering highly preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Skilled in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.

*M-F, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. This position will report into our warehouse facility 100% of the time.
