Inventory Control Center Manager

About Your Role:
As a Inventory Control Center Manager at Dollar Tree's Distribution Center, you'll lead the Inventory Control Center operations across all shifts. You'll manage a team of up to three direct reports and 30 associates, ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Inventory Control Leadership:
  • Supervise Inventory Control Center associates and direct reports, providing coaching, development, and performance feedback

  • Ensuring compliance with Distribution Center policies, procedures, and quality standards

  • Direct scheduling and performance of inventory cycle counts and physical inventories

  • Analyze workflow trends and provide management with insight into potential risks, issues, and improvement opportunities

Operational Excellence & Communication:
  • Coordinate communication with Store Support Center, stores, and DC management to provide timely solutions to inventory issues

  • Partner with Damaged/Returns area to ensure products are credited and managed effectively

  • Audit departmental processes including Receiving, Storage, Forklift, Shipping, Bulk, and Repack

  • Develop action plans that promote inventory accuracy through process improvements and best practices

Systems & Technology Management:
  • Oversee facility IT functions as they relate to inventory and workflow management

  • Utilize WMS (Catalyst or PkMS), Labor Management systems (Argent), RF devices, and Microsoft Office to drive operational efficiency

  • Determine storage plans using data-driven insights to maximize productivity of pick and reserve locations

Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

  • Promote a safe and productive work environment, following all company policies and procedures

Your Required Skills and Experience:
  • College degree or equivalent work experience (5-7 years at a management level)

  • 5-7 years supervisory experience in inventory control management within an automated WMS distribution center

  • Strong analytical, project management, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage teams and implement process improvements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Retek, RF devices, WMS systems (PkMS or Catalyst), and Labor Management systems (Argent)

  • Ability to walk throughout the DC for extended periods and lift/move up to 60 lbs

  • Flexible to work varied shifts and hours; <10% overnight travel

Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a high-volume retail distribution center

  • Demonstrated success in leading inventory accuracy initiatives and operational efficiency projects
