Job description

We are seeking a senior Workday Security Lead to lead security design, configuration, testing, deployment, and governance for a large public-sector Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management implementation.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on Workday security expertise, prior security leadership experience, and a strong record supporting state or local government implementations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Workday security architecture, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Translate functional and compliance requirements into security specifications.
  • Configure and maintain security groups, domain security policies, and business-process security policies.
  • Design constrained, unconstrained, segmented, role-based, and organization-based access.
  • Develop security test conditions, scripts, scenarios, and supporting test data.
  • Perform unit testing and coordinate integrated security testing.
  • Review functional and technical specifications to identify security requirements.
  • Validate that security configuration is accurately migrated across Workday tenants.
  • Coordinate security requirements across Financials, procurement, grants, budgeting, and supply-chain functions.
  • Manage security documentation, access matrices, configuration workbooks, and approval records.
  • Support security audits, access reviews, remediation, and segregation-of-duties activities.
  • Evaluate the security impact of Workday releases and configuration changes.
  • Oversee security requests and support the work of other security resources.
  • Provide security status, risk, issue, and deliverable reporting.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Workday implementation or upgrade experience.
  • Substantial experience serving as a Workday Security Lead.
  • Required experience supporting Workday projects for state or local government organizations.
  • Experience completing multiple comparable Workday implementations.
  • Deep hands-on experience configuring Workday security groups, domains, business processes, roles, and permissions.
  • Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management security experience.
  • Experience designing and executing security testing.
  • Experience migrating and validating security configuration across Workday tenants.
  • Experience supporting large, complex, multi-entity organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of security governance, documentation, and access-control practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on a W-2 basis.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to contractual requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Philadelphia-area residence.
  • Workday security experience involving grants, budgeting, procurement, and supply chain.
  • Experience with security audits, segregation of duties, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience leading integrated client and consulting teams.
