2D Graphic Designer, Visual Merchandising

About the Role
Tarte is looking for a talented 2D Graphic Designer to join our Visual Merchandising team. Our team creates disruptive, easy-to-shop in-store graphics that balance strong brand storytelling with functionality in retail spaces.
This role works across permanent and promotional fixtures, seasonal updates, windows, and pop-ups, partnering closely with Trade Marketing, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams from concept through final production and release.

What Youโ€™ll Do
โ€ข Create easy-to-shop graphics for seasonal gondola updates and permanent fixtures across multiple retailers.
โ€ข Develop artwork for promotional spaces including endcaps, tables, towers, windows, pop-ups, and in-store animations.
โ€ข Contribute to concepting and brainstorming for seasonal programs and live merch decks, offering ideas and visual solutions.
โ€ข Produce print-ready files that meet retailer-specific specs, production requirements, and timelines.
โ€ข Collaborate with Trade Marketing to bring campaigns to life while maintaining brand consistency across retailers and regions.
โ€ข Adapt and roll out artwork for international markets, including adjustments for language, currency, and regional preferences (translations provided).
โ€ข Oversee a high volume of projects per season, partnering with Project Managers to ensure accuracy, organization, and on-time delivery.
โ€ข Manage routing updates and feedback implementation, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected prior to release.
โ€ข Stay current on design trends while maintaining a strong understanding of the beauty industry.
โ€ข Assist team initiatives by sharing resources, best practices, and supporting other designers during peak periods.

What Weโ€™re Looking For
โ€ข BFA/BA in Graphic Design or a related field.
โ€ข 2-3+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within retail, visual merchandising, or a production-heavy marketing environment.
โ€ข Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
โ€ข Hands-on experience with print production, including file setup, specs, scaling, and mechanical accuracy.
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
โ€ข Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
โ€ข A collaborative, proactive, and adaptable team player with a positive attitude
