Job description

Catalyst is developing a new high value-added tax and wealth structuring service line for the group’s clients (company executives, entrepreneurs, IT profiles, real estate investors).

To build a structured, scalable and premium Tax & Wealth Department, combining:

  • Productized tax optimization services
  • Tailor-made advisory driven by experts
  • Strong integration with the group’s accounting, corporate and M&A teams

Within this framework, we are recruiting a key Senior Tax Lawyer who will play a central role in the design, deployment and scaling of the department.

Key Responsibilities 1. Development of Service Lines (2026)

You will actively contribute to structuring and launching three priority service lines:

  • Wealth structuring for company directors
  • Succession anticipation (gifts, shareholders’ agreements, split ownership, holding structures…)
  • Coordination with notaries and external advisors
  • Creation and optimization of real estate vehicles (SPVs, holdings, civil companies, etc.)
  • Tax structuring of property investments
  • Long-term legal and tax advisory support

  • Eligibility analysis

  • Drafting contractual documentation
  • Securing structures with a prudent and defensible approach
  • Contribute to the design of standardized service offerings (packages, pricing, processes)
  • Develop clear, repeatable and optimized methodologies
  • Participate in internal documentation (templates, checklists, procedures)
  • Strike the right balance between operational efficiency and perceived client value
3. Client Advisory & Expertise
  • Act as the tax and legal reference on wealth-related matters
  • Participate in client meetings (independently or with Catalyst teams)
  • Translate complex technical matters into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Maintain a strong focus on client value and legal certainty
4. Internal Collaboration & Department Development
  • Work closely with accounting, corporate and M&A teams
  • Contribute to the strategic evolution of the department
  • Support internal upskilling initiatives
  • In the long term, contribute to building the tax team (processes, recruitment, organization)
Profile Sought Education & Experience
  • Law degree (graduated with distinction or high distinction preferred)
  • Master’s degree in Tax Law / Wealth Planning Law
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a law firm, tax firm or family office
  • Strong exposure to company directors’ tax and wealth issues
Technical Skills
  • Excellent command of Belgian tax law
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Estate planning
    • Wealth structuring
    • Executive taxation
  • Experience (or strong interest) in IT copyright regimes
  • Ability to structure robust and defensible solutions
