Job description

TradeWise Staffing Group is hiring an experienced Structural Steel Foreman (Ironworker Foreman) for an established commercial contractor with ongoing work across Atlanta and Columbus, GA. What you'll do:

  • Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans
  • Coordinate crane picks, rigging, and signaling; manage material flow on site

  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and keep the crew tight, safe, and productive
  • Report progress to the superintendent and PM

What we're looking for:

  • Experience as a Structural Steel Foreman, Ironworker Foreman, Steel Erection Foreman, Lead Ironworker, or Structural Ironworker
  • 5+ years structural steel erection, with time running crews
  • Strong blueprint, shop drawing, and erection drawing knowledge
  • Rigging and signaling experience; comfortable coordinating crane operations
  • Connector experience and welded/bolted connection knowledge
  • AWS D1.1 / certified welder a plus; CWI, NCCER, or OSHA 30 a plus
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Atlanta/Columbus job sites
  • Leadership presence — someone the crew respects and follows
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
