Job description

We are seeking a Pediatric RN to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. This Full-time position is a M-F day shift position!! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the care offered by PPEC is consistently available to all patients.
  • Coordinates and integrates care that is provided by PPEC staff, including contractual provides.
  • Collaborates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures which guide and support the provision of case.
  • Recommends resources needed to provide care.
  • Collaborates with PPEC leadership and appropriate staff to develop the organizational plan as it pertains to patient care.
  • Participates in activities relevant to professional services furnished including the development and implementation of the performance improvement plan
  • Ensures that all clinical staff are oriented prior to providing care and competencies are maintained and validated as directed by policy.
  • Evaluates the educational needs of the staff.
  • Contributes to the prevention of infectious disease among employees and patients by adhering to infection control policies and procedures
  • Maintains staff performance through counseling, appraising, and discipline.
  • Contributes to safe environment for patients, staff, and families.
  • Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education.
  • Assist with adequate staffing as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate staff ratios as mandated by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
  • Interprets and enforce all company mandated policies and procedures
  • Serve as a backup to the Administrator when needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Nursing experience
  • Registered Nurse in Florida
  • Degree in nursing preferred
  • Desire to care for medically complex children
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and families
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
