About the Job
The Powder Coater will be coating materials when needed, based on the production and shipping schedules. When the line is not running, they will be needed to help prepare material for shipping, load trucks with the material, and help with various fabrication duties.
Responsibilities:
  • Select the appropriate powder coating material and color based on job requirements.
  • Operate powder coating equipment, such as spray guns, to apply the powder coating evenly and consistently.
  • Ensure that the powder coating meets quality standards, such as thickness, coverage, and uniformity.
  • Inspect finished workpieces for defects, such as runs, sags, or uneven coating, and make necessary touch-ups when needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling and storing powder, and operating equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and tools, for a safe working environment.
  • Keep records of production activities, such as powder usage.
  • Hang material on the line.
  • Unload materials from the line and prepare them for shipment.
  • Loading and unloading trucks for shipping.
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Skills:
  • Follow production schedules and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify QC issues.
  • Safety awareness.
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Can read a tape measure.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 5 years of previous powder coating or painting experience required.
