A strong understanding of CPT and ICD-9/10 codes, and medical terminology is crucial for accurately entering data from records. You should be adept at examining medical records for completeness and accuracy, displaying high proficiency in data entry with exceptional ten-key skills by touch. Ideal applicants will have 2-3 years of experience in high level data entry, medical terminology and Texas workers' compensation claims, coupled with critical thinking skills to navigate complex billing scenarios. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in medical terminology
  • Proficient with ICD-10 and CPT codes
  • Skilled in examining medical records for completeness and accuracy
  • Expert Ten-key by touch / Typing 45 WPM
  • Workers' compensation experience preferred
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer some college
