We are currently seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our Pharmaceuticals marketing team!

The total compensation range for this role is: $90,000.00-$110,00.000

Placement within the range will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The final offer will reflect the successful candidate's background and demonstrated capabilities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Forecasting & Analysis

  • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, and Sales to develop and update forecasts, budgets, and long-range business plans
  • Maintain market share analyses and other key performance metrics across product SKUs and product families
  • Prepare and present monthly sales performance analyses, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities by product family, region, territory, and customer
  • Monitor and report on retail sales performance using wholesaler data
  • Develop and implement database strategies to improve reporting capabilities and support evolving business needs
  • Review sales performance against forecasts and partner with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks resulting from changes in market demand
  • Monitor the Canadian pharmaceutical market for drug shortages, supply disruptions, competitive activity, and emerging market trends, providing timely insights to stakeholders
  • Maintain and enhance market intelligence tools, shortage trackers, and commercial dashboards to support portfolio management
  • Develop and maintain centralized reporting tools, databases, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Synthesize complex data into concise, actionable insights and executive-ready presentations for cross-functional stakeholders
  • Perform ad hoc analyses, financial modeling, and scenario planning to support strategic business decisions
  • Provide analytical support to Sales and Marketing teams for business initiatives, customer opportunities, and special projects

Commercial Finance & Reporting

  • Perform sales reconciliations to validate customer purchases and ensure the accurate administration of commercial agreements and financial programs
  • Calculate, validate, reconcile and maintain customer pricing adjustments and other contractual financial commitments in accordance with commercial agreements
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc commercial financial reports to support business planning, financial analysis, and customer program administration
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Marketing to prepare supporting analyses and documentation for customer financial settlements and reporting activities
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve sales, pricing, and transactional discrepancies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Develop and maintain reconciliation tools, financial models, and reporting processes to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and governance of commercial financial operations
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of sales and financial data through ongoing validation, reconciliation, and process improvements

Contracts & Projects

  • Monitor and report on customer contract compliance and commercial performance
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional commercial projects and strategic initiatives that support portfolio growth and business objectives
  • Support the administration, reporting, and continuous improvement of Salesforce.com to enhance commercial effectiveness
  • Analyze wholesaler sales reports and internal sales data to identify opportunities for off-contract sales growth and customer expansion

Corporate

  • Ensures timely communication of complaints to the Quality department and Adverse Drug Reactions to the Vigilance department as per Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintains up-to-date training designated for this position and training documents for reporting positions via internal systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as business, finance, commerce or a relevant scientific disciple) and/or relevant experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector
  • Minimum 2+ years of progressive experience in commercial analytics, business analytics, sales operations, finance, forecasting, contract administration, or a related analytical role
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with the broader MS Office suite
  • Experience working with large datasets, reporting systems, and data validation
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualization tools is considered an asset
  • Experience interpreting commercial agreements, pricing structures, and customer financial programs is considered an asset
