Job Summary

Data Center Construction- Change Mgmt Manager

Miller Electric is seeking a Change Management Manager who reports directly to a Project Manager. Responsibilities are focused on all aspects of change management on a large scale data center construction project.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions Maintain project Change Order Log and provide updates to project leadership on status of any potential cost impacts Develop cost estimates for change orders and provide thorough back-up to client using fully on-screen electronic takeoffs and markups Work with ConEst Estimating Software Meet with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managers Visually inspect project locations to determine the amount of labor and materials needed to do the work Contact vendors for pricing Assess the costs of leasing equipment. Maintain the change order submissions/documents in an organized and standardized manner. Work with the project team to develop this standard. Compliance with company, client, and project policies Coordinate activities of staff and subcontractors Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues Develop and maintain strong client and employee relationships Assist leadership in the planning of future labor/material needs of the project Manage RFPs and Change Management Forms Mentor subordinates to support their development

Qualifications

Education & ExperienceREQUIRED 6-8 years of experience with a High School Diploma, 4-6 years of experience with an Associate degree, or 0-2 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree Strong computer & Microsfot Suite skills Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems. Read and evaluate specifications and blueprints. Deal effectively with customers. Analyze risks involved with certain project types. Estimate large and small projects. Work calmly under deadlines and external pressure. Excellent math skills. Strong communication skills.

PREFERRED Mission Critical Project experience Hands-on construction experience Journeyman or Master Electrician's License
