Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering work in various engineering fields within the Infrastructure Practice such as pipelines, pump stations, and storage tanks.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on small to large projects of a moderately complex nature
  • Work on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, write specifications, facilitate permitting, and prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables; data entry and analysis, and working through the construction phase
  • Manage projects including being responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards
  • Directs team members to produce successful projects
  • Responsible for training and monitoring staff
  • Responsible for acting independently and making decisions on technical matters
  • Responsible for identifying and directing sub consultants performing services on projects
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients and maintain those relationships
  • Proactively pursue work and lead proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations
  • Active in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers, member of technical committee, etc.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer.
  • 10+ years of water and wastewater infrastructure design experience with at least five years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and construction administration of small, medium, and large water and wastewater infrastructure projects including pump stations, wastewater collection systems, potable and reclaimed water transmission/distribution systems, and pipeline rehabilitation projects.
  • Project management experience including development and management of scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance plans.
  • Business development experience including development of statements of qualifications, proposals, and interviews.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Compensation Range
An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
