Our Louisville office is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Aviation Civil Engineering Manager to provide technical engineering leadership and project management oversight for complex, multidiscipline aviation projects. In this role, you will lead and mentor our expanding Louisville team of talented professionals while collaborating nationally with aviation industry experts. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical engineering leadership and project management oversight for complex, multidiscipline aviation projects, including runways, taxiways, terminals, airfield pavements, stormwater systems, utilities, parking, and related infrastructure 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for aviation clients, lead engagement activities including proposals, presentations, regulatory meetings, trade shows, and other business development efforts
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and execution plans to ensure successful delivery of aviation and civil engineering design projects
  • Complete and oversee aviation and civil engineering designs, feasibility studies, technical reports, and engineering documentation using AutoCAD and related design tools
  • Create and review 3D models to support design development, quality control, and coordination across project elements. 
  • Ensure all engineering designs and processes meet federal, state, and Foth standards, guidelines, and quality expectations
  • Provide construction representation services, supporting field execution and ensuring alignment between design intent and construction activities 
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on design practices, technical standards, and effective project delivery
Required Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kentucky or the ability to obtain licensure within one (1) year
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
  • 5+ years of project management experience 
  • Minimum of 10 years of aviation project design experience
  • Experience in construction observation or administration
  • Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction (runways, taxiways, grading/drainage, pavement markings, etc.) preferred but not required
