Job Summary:
SupplyCore is seeking a Corporate Counsel - Government Contracts to support its government contracting compliance and legal operations. You will assist with compliance program execution, audits and reviews, training initiatives, and contract and terms-and-conditions review. This position reports to the General Counsel and works closely with business stakeholders and outside counsel to help ensure SupplyCore meets its regulatory and contractual obligations as a government contractor. This is a hands-on, business-focused role suited for an attorney early in their career who has experience with or exposure to government contracts and compliance.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:
  • Support SupplyCore's compliance program related to U.S. Government contracting requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations.
  • Assist in identifying compliance risks through review of policies, procedures, and business practices.
  • Monitor regulatory developments impacting government contractors and help assess business impact.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, assessments, and compliance reviews, including preparation of documentation and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Support responses to government or customer inquiries, audits, or investigations.
  • Help develop, update, and deliver compliance training for employees, including government contracting and ethics topics.
  • Assist in preparing internal compliance guidance and reference materials.
  • Review and summarize customer, supplier, and other third-party agreements for compliance and regulatory risks.
  • Flag issues for escalation to General Counsel or other stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales, supply chain, operations, and other teams to support compliant business execution and provide periodic training.
  • Assist with third party audit and other requests for documents and business information.

Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • 2-5+ years of experience in government contracts, regulatory compliance, or related legal work, whether in-house or law firm supporting government contractors.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS concepts and/or government contracting compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or regulatory inquiries.
  • Export experience a plus.
  • Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple projects at once, adhering to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to engage in and exchange communication with others in all situations.
  • Self-driven and proactive in nature. Takes initiative to address compliance and legal needs.
  • Analytical and inquisitive.
  • Team player, ability, and willingness to collaborate with internal departments of varying levels of expertise.
  • PC proficiency in Teams and Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay: $90,000 - $120,000
