Mechanical Foreman – Lead Commercial and Multifamily Projects for Total Mechanical Solutions

The Opportunity

You will serve as a vital field leader, directly guiding skilled plumbing and HVAC crews to execute high-quality mechanical installations. This role gives you the autonomy to manage daily jobsite operations while receiving strong support from a company that actively invests in your professional growth. You will play a key role in upholding elite workmanship standards across Central Virginia.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Direct and supervise daily field activities for assigned plumbing and HVAC crews to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Execute comprehensive work plans developed by the Superintendent while maintaining strict alignment with project schedules.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment efficiently to keep installations moving forward without delays.
  • Enforce rigorous OSHA guidelines and company safety policies to maintain a clean, hazard-free jobsite environment.
  • Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure all mechanical installations fully comply with local codes and project plans.
  • Complete daily production documentation, review employee time entries, and report field conflicts promptly to leadership.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working within the mechanical construction industry.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience successfully leading plumbing or HVAC crews in the field.
  • Proficient ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and basic computer proficiency required to manage field documentation.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience managing installations for commercial and large-scale multifamily projects.
  • Possession of active trade licenses relevant to HVAC or plumbing systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, and developing apprentices and mechanics.
