Job description

Tribal Doctor Apprentice:

Hiring Range I : $26.33 to $35.10/hr.

Hiring Range II: $28.17 to $42.25/hr.

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Tribal Doctor Apprentice is responsible for working under the supervision of a Tribal Doctor/Elder Advisor in order to successfully complete the Tribal Doctor Training Program Apprentice levels I and II and develop the skills and knowledge to provide traditional healing treatments to customer-owner. The Tribal Doctor Apprentice I will not provide any treatments unless supervised by a Tribal Doctor/Elder Advisor. The Tribal Doctor Apprentice II will not provide any treatments unless approved by the Traditional Healing Clinical Director or Traditional Healing Clinic Manager.

This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

SCF's philosophy of care is built on creating and maintaining trusting relationships with customer-owners, and a healthy workforce is an important part of that commitment.

Following SCF's Employee Health Procedure, including all required job-related health screenings and immunizations, is a condition of employment. The procedure is based on the latest scientific evidence and recommendations from public health experts.

New employees must complete all required health screenings and immunizations before their first day of work. Current employees must complete any additional screenings or immunizations that become necessary due to workplace conditions, public health concerns, or newly available vaccines that help protect coworkers and the community.
